With a full crew, the Forester has a minimum cargo space of 28.9 cubic feet, but this can be expanded to fit a maximum of 74.2 cubic feet of cargo with all of the rear seats folded down. The interior comes standard with gray cloth, but depending on the trim, there's also the option for premium gray cloth, premium black cloth, gray leather, gray textured StarTex, gray sport cloth, saddle brown leather, and black leather.
Exterior Design
The elegant and modern exterior design of the Base trim features 17-inch steel wheels, all-season tires, 8.7 inches of ground clearance, and LED headlights, but additional aluminum alloy wheel options are available on most trim levels. Four color schemes can be chosen on the Base trim, including cascade green silica, horizon blue pearl, crystal white pearl, and magnetite gray metallic. Additional color options are available on more advanced trims, including autumn green metallic, crystal black silica, crimson red pearl, sapphire blue pearl, geyser blue, ice silver metallic, and brilliant bronze metallic.
Advanced Technology
The 2024 Subaru Forester comes standard with automatic headlights, USB ports, a four-speaker audio system, a 6.5-inch infotainment display, wireless Bluetooth connectivity, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Additional front and rear USB ports are also available on more advanced trims.
Safety Features
Since safety is probably among your highest priorities, the Subaru Forester is equipped with a suite of advanced safety features standard, including automatic emergency steering, pre-collision braking, high beam assist, four-wheel anti-lock braking, a traction control system, rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, and a lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist. Subaru's EyeSight technology monitors the road for danger and implements the necessary measures to avoid collisions. When disaster does strike, the vehicle's high-strength steel body, ring-shaped reinforcement frame, and seven airbags protect you from harm.
For drivers who want to take the safety measures a step further, a distraction mitigation system, reverse automatic braking, and blind-spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert are available on more advanced trims only. The Subaru Starlink system, which is standard on everything but the Base trim, provides notifications, alerts, emergency assistance, and remote engine start and climate control, directly from your smartphone app. The NHTSA has given the 2024 Forester its highest five-star overall rating.

The 2024 Subaru Forester is available in six different trim levels. - The Wilderness is designed for your next big off-road adventure with 17-inch matte black-finish alloy wheels, Yokohama all-terrain tires, StarTex water-repellent upholstery, eight-speed manual transmission, and a dual-function X-Mode. It also comes with anodized copper-finish accents and a 180-degree front-view monitor. The Wilderness can tow up to an impressive 3,000 pounds when equipped with the Class II hitch receiver.
- The Limited edition adds luxurious premium features such as leather-trimmed upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, hands-free power rear liftgate, a larger 8-inch infotainment display, and 18-inch machine-finish alloy wheels.
- Finally, the Touring edition comes standard with a 10-way power driver's seat, eight-way power front passenger seat, DriverFocus distraction mitigation system, a Subaru Starlink multimedia navigation system, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, the option for an exclusive saddle leather-trimmed upholstery, and an all-weather package with heated front and rear seats.
